Art Supermarket Pikasso was a month-long joint project with artist Jani Leinonen.
The ambitious goal was to break the conventions of art marketing and to take art
out of the white galleries into an ordinary supermarket. The project was
enthusiastically received both by leading artists and by curious passers-by.
By the end of the first week, Pikasso had been visited by more people than visited
the Mänttä Art Festival, or even the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma in a month. |
